Jump-Start Your Future

Philippians 4:4-9 (NIV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Note that Verse 6 triggers the verse 7 response

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Now Paul is telling us what to think about and the attitude of victorious living.

Eventually… we will have times (maybe years) where our careers aren’t going well and then that passes and a better position or situation arises and life seems better. What, there to understand is many things in our lives change from season to season or year to year.

The understanding of the flow of these events that have occurred can blur the line between what’s real and what’s imagine. My brain says I am nuts and my heart says it’s true.

So, if I spend time with God I am able to connect to the spirit world and to believe the impossible, and that I am a child of destiny. Only when you are acting in the spiritual realm can you imagine and believe heavenly things.

This is a great explanation of why we should invest some our time in our true destiny.

Philippians 4:11-12 (NIV) 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. I always believed this was about having money but it is so much more. It is about contentment in everything being okay with all aspects of our lives.

~My job is good enough

~My everything God has provided is good enough and I am in need of nothing.

This is where I can begin to focus on the things of God and actually try to move a mountain or two.You can be content and still find a more challenging career. Being content doesn’t lock you in, it sets you free.

1 Corinthians 2: 10 (NIV) The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,

16 For, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

God wants to have a great life and He has put into place "helps" and when they are put into practice, will pull us thru to overcome the troubles we encounter.

Remember God isn’t taking you around the fire, He’s teaching you how to defeat the fire and become an overcomer like Him. These are the lesions from a Father to His children.
