God, Where are You?
This life that we live has good times and difficult times, and it varies from person to person, season to season.
There are seasons when everything is going well with no major difficulties and there times when it seems like the sky is falling; God seems to be nowhere to be found.
How can I succeed through the difficult times and what can I expect from God?
“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.”
Victory is Yours
Now, it is easy to stand in faith when everything is going well and you will look like God’s man or woman of faith and power. However, when times of testing come it is a whole different story. This is where the big talk stops, the puffed out chest deflates, and we are left to our relationship with God.
Thus, here is where the faith you have been working on comes into play. Those little problems (opportunities) God has allowed in your life makes you strong. The many lessons you have learned and the many victories you have accumulated now have become your friends and have opened the door to the new you that you have been looking for.
“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
The Good Medicine
All of the little tests enable us to figure out God is with us, even when He does not seem to be. Facing little tests is good medicine for everyone, as long as God is brought along to teach us. A handful of little tests will bring you through a life crusher that someone of the world would not survive.
Romans 8:28-30 (My Benefit, God’s Purpose)
“28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”
This is Your Opportunity
As we face the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, be confident that God is with you; He is certainly not judging you now. You are forgiven and made right in the sight of the Heavenly Father and now is the time when Jesus builds overcomers.
If you were not touched by the storm great, now use your skills, whatever they may be, to help those you know and those you do not. This is the opportunity you have been waiting for. This is where sons of God are made, Kingdom opportunities, and Job promotions can occur.
