Being Prepared For Your Best Life
2 Timothy 2 14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
Watch what you say to everyone. Don’t get into any arguments; they will only damage both parties. Even if you win the argument, the damage that occurs between two people whether it’s a husband and wife or friends can take a long time to heal and maybe even never.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Learn not only the word of God but how to thrive in your environment. Get educated so you can not only help yourself but others as well. As we read scripture, math, history, and continue to learn, God also blesses our learning and gives us understanding and wisdom.
Now having outgrown our selfishness, we are prepared to be used by God. Having set aside the love of this world and begun to operate in Gods world, Gods way.
16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer.
Not every Christian teacher is a good teacher as some are filled with themselves and teach only to gain attention or control over the group. Surround yourself with wise people and seek their wisdom on new teachings or some revolutionary doctrine. This practice alone is the wisdom of God in practice and when you do these things God will bless you even more.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
Strife, anger, and dispute are open doors to all sorts of things you don’t want in your life, avoid them and those who love this endless drama. If you know anyone who struggles in these areas encourage them to pray and ask God to remove these issues and heal our lives.
24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
Someone who argues, strives, and lives in drama is under the control of the Devil whether they go to church or not. Once you are free from the same temptations then you can be a blessing to them and others. The sense of joy from helping just one person escape these and other snares of darkness are fulfilling.
Thank you for your Son Jesus and His gift to us of Salvation. We ask for a new heart of flesh so that we can have an encounter with you Lord. We ask Lord to touch your heart and hear your word, from Your Heart to ours. Teach us how to be blessed and be a blessing….Amen
