To Be or Not To Be
Genesis 1 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
Mark 1 40 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”
41 Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
All Power Belongs to Jesus
In these two scriptures God/Jesus makes a proclamation to “be.”
• Light is created for the first time in the Universe.
• A leper is instantly made clean.
How can a burning sun instantly start burning from a rock or be created in its entirety in an instant? How can a leper’s skin be healed and made smooth in an instant? It is because Jesus does not just have power, He is power; all power flows from Him.
John 16:33 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
This is an impartation of joy so we don’t lose heart and give up.
Joshua 1 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[c] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
The Lord imparted and released strength and courage into Joshua to succeed and he did.
Romans 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Ephesians 4 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
John 8 23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
Securing the Victory
When God spoke in such a manner that He said “be” in that statement, He was releasing the power necessary to make it come to pass.
We need to reinforce our positions where we are challenged by finding the scriptures where the victory is released and specifically speaking it over ourselves.
