Lord, Am I Worthy?

A Christian having prayed the prayer of salvation and feeling worthless and unworthy is a lie from no one other than the Devil. He’s been a liar from the beginning and he’s trying to stop you from reaching God’s will for your life. Resist the Devil by putting on the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6)

You were bought with a price; God sent Jesus to die for you, God loves you, God has forgiven you, God is near you, God encourages you, God loves to listen and answer your prayers, God has a plan for you, so how can you be worthless?

God knows your name. He knows every single thing about you, even the number of hairs upon your head. Would God come to live inside someone who is worthless? Do you know how amazing God is?

Jesus was thinking about you when He was on the cross before He gave His life for you! He has not forsaken you. God might seem silent at times, but He is actively working. He will continue to work in your life till the end of time and beyond.

Out of love He has engraved your name on His palm. A master would never put the name of a servant on Himself.

Hebrews 4:13-16 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Our life of success is steered by many streams of possibilities but at the beginning of possibilities is a base source. Now there are two sources from which we pick. 1) Being led by our acquired knowledge and what we see and feel. 2) Being led by our acquired knowledge filtered thru the Holy Spirit and the Wisdom from God.

Because there are only 2 choices as I see it, this choice is definitely important and life determining. Which one should I make and how do I make that choice? This is actually simpler than I was thinking.

Who is smarter me or God? The winner is clearly God. Everyone already knows this, so why do we continue to make poor choices. Well it’s because sometimes we believe and sometimes not. So how I feel about me plays an enormous role in how I believe. If I think God loves me, I can go and ask for help and stuff without worry but if I am not sure of where I stand than I may pull back and get little help.

John 6:37 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

Now scriptures such as these tell me how the Father feels about me. So now is where another issue arises, do I believe the bible is true and the word of God? Everything we do and believe is sourced from this point. Every action, every prayer and every step will be made from this foundation. The very outcome of our lives will spring from this point and the corresponding choice.

Matthew 25:37-46 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Special scripture to bring clarity as to the times and seasons.

Matthew 24:24-27 (NKJV) 24 For false christ’s and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Now, apart from the obvious reasons for being assured of your worthiness. Here it says around the time of trouble there will be the great deception. So real will this deception be that even people who have been in church and in positions of ministry will fall to this deception. This amazing sign or wonder will be so impressive that you will want to believe it, but only those who know their God will not be fooled.

Worthiness --> Boldness before the throne --> I know you --> I protect you from deception by My Spirit…says the Lord.

Anyone here who doubts that this could be that time read Matthew 24:3-31.

If you believe in, and have received Jesus in your heart, and have any type of relationship with Him. If you have ever done anything for anyone ever and wondered if Jesus was pleased or if it counted to your account. Congratulations you have been redeemed and are thus worthy to receive the Kingdom of Heaven. This you must believe and accept in your life whether it feels right or not. The Kingdom of God is not based on my feelings but Gods word period! Worthiness is not based on feelings but the Word of God, so don’t over think it. The confirmation and assurance comes later. Just believing because God said so is an act of faith. Faith pleases God and also verifies that we walk in worthiness.

Father God, thank you for your Son Jesus who died for us and gifted us worthiness. We accept the gift of salvation and worthiness. In Jesus' name we ask for forgiveness for any doubt we may have had and we forgive ourselves for any doubt.

Father, we love you and we look forward to coming boldly before your throne for a talk soon.
