Do Not Give Up On Yourself

February 4, 2019

When Jesus went to the cross, He went for all of our sins, not just the past ones. Walking in failure is much better than not walking at all. There is a destiny inside you and it may take your entire life to be released. You must come to the conclusion you are not an accident of human nature but a player in the plan of God destined to some worthwhile purpose whose time has or has not yet come.

Jeremiah 1:4-9
4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
6 Then said I:   “Ah, Lord GOD!
Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” 7 But the LORD said to me:
“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. 8 Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD.
9 Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me:
“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

When you are representing the Lord, anything can happen so you can’t let your surroundings determine what you will do or say. When you are being used by God, the Holy Spirit will lead you and give you words to speak. If you say whatever you have in your heart, the Holy Spirit will add His words to what you have already spoken.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8
6 “For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 7:9-11
9 “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; 10 and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. 11 Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.

God wants you to see that you didn’t get here and now by accident but by his design. You are precious and cherished by Him and loved to the bone.

God is not keeping records of your past to bring up later. No, He is a God of destiny and His Kingdom to which you are sons and heirs. You are being set aside and trained to reign with Him for eternity.

You weren’t selected because of what you knew or what you could do; nothing of your own strength. God never wanted that. He chose you with no further explanation. Perhaps a loving heart or someone’s prayers.
